The Alumni Fellows program recognizes alumni who have distinguished themselves in their careers. The program is sponsored by the Dean's Council, the Office of the President, and the K-State Alumni Association.

Kamesh Reddy Sirigireddy, PhD
Kamesh Reddy Sirigireddy works as an associate director at Merck Animal Health developing vaccines for animals.
After graduating from K-State, he joined Newport Laboratories, in Minnesota in 2008. Here he led the discovery research program – resulting in three granted patents and two USDA licenses. In 2013, he moved to Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health in Iowa where he held several roles, advancing up the career ladder.
In these roles he was responsible for managing large research budgets, leading research teams and contributing to the planning of the next level global research and development strategy, among others. In his current role at Merck Animal Health, he is the global lead for RNA and DNA based vaccine platform technologies across the species and is building on his excellent skills on clear prioritization and vision guiding global teams to success.
Sirigireddy’s work is recognized nationally and internationally. He has over 10 publications in prestigious peer reviewed journals on topics related to veterinary medicine, served as editorial board member for the Journal of Veterinary Diagnostic Investigation, and was invited to give talks in Taiwan and China.
He and his wife, Jaya ’07, have two children, Savi and Nik.
Kamesh received his master’s degree and Ph.D. both in diagnostic medicine/pathobiology from K-State in 2003 and 2008.
