Photography Guidelines

Effective May 1, 2026

  • Lists of prohibited items:
    • Tables, chairs, arches, balloons, confetti, drones, flying lanterns, pyrotechnics, smoke, streamers, cannons of any kind (smoke, confetti, streamers, etc.), alcohol, portable changing tents, banners, flags, backdrops, bicycles, and skateboards. Animals are prohibited unless a trained service animal. Staff have the right to ask for items to be removed from the Gardens.

 

  • Photography Session Rules and Guidelines:
    • A photography session reservation grants non-exclusive access to outdoor Garden facilities.
    • Please do not ask fellow garden guests to move to accommodate your session needs.
    • No part of the Gardens may be closed or restricted for a photo session.
    • Please be courteous of other guests and do not block pathways or obstruct views.
    • Photographers may only host one client per session.
    • Do not disturb any plants, stand on rocks or displays, block paths, or climb fountain walls.
    • Please refrain from moving furniture, pots, plant labels and/or tags around and please do not pick or rearrange our flowers and foliage for any purpose.
    • There is no photography or set up permitted within the garden beds at any time.
    • No people or props in Garden beds or water features.
    • No climbing trees, walls, water features, or sculptures.
    • Stay on the paths or use the grassy lawn areas.
    • Any changes to garden grounds (such as signage, installations or other furniture) are strictly prohibited.
    • Do not attach anything to plants, trees, garden buildings or structures.
    • Do not attempt to access power sources in the gardens.
    • For the safety of all visitors, please be mindful of tripods or flash stands that may pose a hazard.
    • Groups of 10 or more may include additional regulations to ensure your group does not disrupt normal visits or other scheduled events.
    • Certain areas of the gardens may be closed for programming, construction, or private events. These areas would not be available during your photo shoot. Areas and times are subject to change.
    • Staff reserve the right to determine when a visit constitutes a photography/videography session and may deny entry or ask guests to leave if a permit is not obtained in advance.
