Kids K-State Garden Club
The K-State Gardens invite kids (grades 1-3) to an introduction to gardening. Five 50 minute Saturday sessions at K-State from 10:00-10:50 a.m. starting in March are planned to spark interest, present gardening basics, and have fun with hands-on activities. There is a sixth session which is an optional field trip.
2026 Sessions
March 28 - What Do Kids and Plants Both Need? Bean germination take home project.
April 11 - Pollinators - Learn About Bees.
April 18 - Learn About Soils and Tending to Vegetables.
May 9 - Climates Around the World, Plants and Terrariums, Check planted veggies.
May 23 - Harvesting Veggies, Review, Tour
May 30 - Optional field trip to Willow Lake Farm (in the event of rain, the field trip will occur on June 1st)
Sessions are limited to 25 kids each. Children should be accompanied by an adult.
Sessions are free but donations are appreciated.
