Kids K-State Garden Club - 2023

The K-State Gardens invite kids (grades 1-3) to an introduction to gardening. Five 45 minute Saturday sessions from 10:00-10:45 a.m. starting in March are planned to spark interest, present gardening basics, and have fun with hands-on activities. Sessions topics are:

1) Plants are needy just like people, plant structure, bean germination take home project

2) Worms, compost, and salad planting

3) Pollinators -Bees are workers

4) Ecosystems & Terrariums

5) Review during kids' garden tour 

Sessions are limited to 20 kids each. Younger children should be accompanied.  Sessions are free but donations are very welcome. Registration is necessary. Call 785-532-3271 or email ksugardens@k-state.edu for questions or registration.
