Soil Erosion

Kansas Daily Erosion project is a collaborative effort between Kansas State University and Iowa State University.

The Kansas Daily Erosion project produces daily estimates of soil erosion rates, in a form of sheet and rill erosion, and presents them in a mapping format at HUC-12 scale. The results are generated daily in the morning for the previous day. The outputs are daily precipitation depth, surface water runoff depth, soil losses (or soil detachment rates), and soil delivery rates.

Disclaimer: The data persented at the map are modeled estimates of sheet and rill erosion rates computed sub-daily at a catchment scale and aggregated for HUC-12 basins. The information is provided for education and research purposes.
