Description:

The Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art is committed to involving young children and families in the visual arts. ARTSmart is premised on the belief that creativity begins at an early age and that the arts are crucial in the mental and physical skill development of young children. ARTSmart programs introduce the elements of art, art vocabulary and art history; integrate art into the early childhood curriculum; inspire creativity; and help to develop fine motor and cognitive skills. Programs provide opportunities for both creativity and formal instruction. ARTSmart attendance and outreach figures for 2009-2010 are 2523 students and families.
