This weekly newsletter is sent out to dept. heads, graduate program directors and contact staff, and graduate faculty. Graduate students receive an email from the GSC on Mondays.

Graduate School Commencement is right around the corner- register your attendance today!

The fall 2016 commencement ceremony is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, December 9 in Bramlage Coliseum. Faculty who want to participate in commencement are required to complete the online registration form no later than December 2.

Graduate School Handbook updates effective Nov. 1

There are a number of items in the Graduate School Handbook that have been updated as of November 1. Some updates include: Admissions, enrollment and progress; Entrance requirements of graduates of foreign colleges and universities; English proficiency requirements. Alcohol and Sexual Assault Prevention Training needed

Almost 800 graduate students have a registration hold on their KSIS account for failure to complete the mandatory Alcohol and Sexual Assault Prevention (ASAP) Training. Please urge your graduate students to complete the training as soon as possible. 

Spring 2017 Recruitment Weekend Funding Announcement

The Graduate School will provide funding to graduate programs to facilitate the graduate program’s doctoral recruitment efforts. The Graduate School will assist programs by bringing admitted doctoral students to campus for a spring 2017 visit. Graduate programs can earn up to $5000. Application deadline is Monday, November 21.

PROSPECT access given, first automated email needed

Graduate Program Directors and Contact Staff should have access to Prospect, our communication tool within CollegeNET, to manage communications for prospective and in-progress applicants. You can now view students that have started their applications and communicate with them. We request that you check to ensure that you have access to Prospect as a Graduate Program Director and a Contact Staff member. If anything is missing or you don't have access, please contact Camila Haselwood. Please send your program's first automated email to Camila Haselwood

Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Small Research Grant Deadline Friday

The application deadline for the Arts, Humanities, & Social Sciences Small Research Grant is this Friday, November 11 by 5 p.m. Master's and doctoral graduate students who are in their final year of graduate school are encouraged to apply.
