Reed Middleton
Program Coordinator
Reed’s educational and professional experiences focus on global food systems, which sparked her interest while growing up in the diverse agriculture of the Pacific Northwest.
She joins the CRCIL team with a background in agricultural policy, program coordination, and curriculum development thanks to her work at Kansas Grain Sorghum/National Sorghum Producers and Kansas State’s Food Security Scholars.
Reed earned her B.S. in Agricultural Economics at Kansas State University with specialties in Global Food Systems Leadership, Leadership Studies, and Spanish. Reed confirmed her interest in international work after a study abroad in Uruguay and a summer assistantship in Ghana with Monitoring, Evaluation, and Technical Support Services (METSS).
She completed a Master of Science in Food Economics and Marketing at the University of Reading, researching the impact of women’s empowerment on household food security.
