PI
Khandakar Iftekharuddaula currently works at the Plant Breeding Division, Bangladesh Rice Research Institute. His field of expertise includes: Rice Breeding, Molecular Breeding, Marker Assisted Backcrossing, Transforming Rice Breeding, Application of digitalization and automation in plant breeding, Rapid Generation Advance, Quantitative Genetics, Line Augmentation, and Bioinformatics. He received his PhD in 2010 in Genetic and Plant Breeding from Bangladesh Agricultural University (Research in IRRI). In 2003 he received his Masters Degree from Bangladesh Agricultural University in Genetics and Plant Breeding.
Khandakar Iftekharuddaula is currently the Chief Scientific Officer of the Plant Breeding Division at Bangladesh Rice Research Institute. His current research focus invovles ten research projects completed related to development of Stress Tolerant Rice, Water Saving and Aerobic Rice, Submergence Tolerant Rice, Salinity Tolerant Rice, Integrated Agricultural Productivity and Transforming rice breeding.

Sazzadur Rahman
Sazzad Rahman is a rice physiologist at the Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI). His work primarily focuses on studying stress tolerances in rice, particularly heat and salinity. Additionally, he leads efforts to enhance rice photosynthesis to cope with the effects of climate change. With experience solving farmers' issues related to rice cultivation at the field level, hisobjective is to enhance the climate resilience of rice traits, ensuring sustainable production in the ever-changing climate conditions.
