Hand-washing 101

Watch a short video that shows how to clean all surfaces of your hands.

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds at multiple points throughout the day, especially before and after eating, after going to the bathroom and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.

If soap and water are not available, use alcohol-based or other FDA- or CDC-recommended hand sanitizer. If your hands are visibly dirty, wash hands with soap and water.
