Contact tracing

Guidance

Contact tracing is conducted through state and local county health departments. The university only conducts contact tracing as coordinated through Lafene Health Center and in support of these public health departments.

Kansas House Bill No. 2016 was signed into law on June 8, 2020, to protect the privacy and confidentiality of information collected through contact tracing. Under the law, the university will not and cannot mandate contact tracing for any person.

While participation in contact tracing is voluntary, students, faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to participate to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in our communities.
