The Graduate Student Council continues to offer travel awards for graduate students to participate in virtual conferences or meetings. These funds may be used to reimburse students for virtual conference registration fees. GSC travel awards may continue to be used for travel to in-person conferences, but while K-State has a travel ban in place, students must have approval to engage in university-affiliated or sponsored travel.
If the course is currently on Canvas, there are communication tools available. If your course is not currently on Canvas, contact your class supervisor/instructor or the department head to discuss options.
Refer to guidance from Information Technology Services for more information on virtual private network (VPN) and remote access. Some data may not leave campus or your office/lab area. Contact your supervisor and/or major professor clarify what data you are allowed to bring to another location.
Contact your supervisor and/or major professor about what research can be done remotely and what data may leave campus or be accessed off campus. If the supervisor recommends remote work that can be done and remote data accessed, contact Rose Ndegwa in the University Research and Compliance Office if that work is being done at an international site at firstname.lastname@example.org.
