Hand-washing 101

See how to ensure you clean all surfaces of your hands.


  • Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.

The virus that causes COVID-19 can enter your body through your eyes, nose and mouth. Touching your face can transmit germs from your hands to your face and places you at greater risk of infection.

Don’t share personal items like phones, drinks, chapstick, makeup, etc.

Stay home if you are not feeling well or have a fever.
