Learning in Style

K-State professor Tim Rarick shows his students various methods of learning. This presentation describing his learning profile was first performed for his own Learning Principles course but was then brought into his classroom. Check out this site featuring Rarick's award for teaching excellence.

Here are the lyrics to this song:

I’m an outspoken extrovert who’s learning to hold back.
Intuition and feelings are attributes I lack.
Evidently I judge but I guess I’m not too good,
because I don’t eat my fruits and veggies just like I should.

Don’t give me a book to read or make me write it down.
I’d rather sit and listen or even wrestle it to the ground.
I have a sleep deprived, emotionally wise, self-expressed learning profile.

I rarely let other things control my life,
even though it’s mostly scheduled around my children and wife.
I’m adequately active yet in one area I fail,
it’s regular strength training but you could never tell.

Don’t give me a book to read or make me write it down.
I’d rather sit and listen or even wrestle it to the ground.
I have a sleep deprived, emotionally wise, self expressed learning profile.
