Making Lasting Changes: Starting the Year off Right

A 2014 Marist Poll indicated that roughly 60% of Americans made New Year's Resolutions for 2014, however, more than 40% of those making such resolutions reported not being able to keep them after the first month. Change is a process, not an event. It typically involves more than simply making a resolution and hoping for the best. Join us for the first part of a three part series that looks at the change process. We will discuss the stages of change, setting effective goals, forces that can help or prevent you from making significant change, and ways to create longer-lasting results by strengthening intrinsic motivation.
