Molly Callaghan, LMSW

Role: CAPS Case Manager / Licensed Master Social Worker

Education:
BS: Kansas State University, Family Studies and Human Services
Secondary Major, Gerontology
MSW: University of Utah, Master of Social Work

Professional Interests: I am Licensed as a Masters Level Social Worker in the state of Kansas. I have served as a Social Worker in various medical settings in Utah, Pennsylvania and Kansas over the past 20 years. I have also served as an adjunct instructor of Social Work, teaching Basic Skills, Practice 1, and Social Welfare.

My goal as a Case Manager at CAPS is to provide education, support, and advocacy to each student as they begin to learn about and navigate new systems of healthcare and various resources as an independent adult. I hope as we work together the student will gain skills and confidence regarding effective ways to advocate for themselves, within these systems, now and into the future.

Personal Interests: I love the Tallgrass Prairie that surrounds Manhattan, the resilience it represents and the peace it provides. I love to bake, create, and sometimes raise a wayward city chicken or two. Mostly, I enjoy hanging out with my kiddos, watching their ballgames, enjoying the outdoors together, and hopefully infusing those things with a lot of laughter.
