Dr. Pat Bosco

Kansas State University alumnus Pat Bosco has more than four decades of experience in higher education administration and service to the university. He received his bachelor's in elementary education in 1971 and a master's in educational administration in 1973 from K-State and earned his doctorate in higher education from the University of Nebraska in 1982. Dr. Bosco is recognized as a leader in student life, enrollment management and student affairs and has built his legacy through undying dedication to the development of students and the University. Currently, Dr. Bosco serves as a senior advisor and has been a vital resource in aligning Blue Key’s mission with the University's. 


Dr. Jackie McClaskey

Position: Advisor

Career: Former Kansas Secretary of Agriculture

More about Dr. McClaskey

Jackie began her Blue Key experience in the Kansas State chapter as a member in 1993 while subsequently serving as the Student Body President. She graduated with Bachelors degrees in Agriculture and Agricultural Economics and went on to receive her Masters in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M. Early in her career she served as the Communications Director for Governor Sam Brownback’s first congressional campaign and subsequently as the Communications and Ag Policy Director in his congressional office. Upon returning to Kansas she served as the Assistant Dean of the College of Agriculture for 14 years. She later returned to campaigning as the Campaign Manager for Derek Schmidt for Kansas Attorney General until 2011 when she moved to the Kansas Department of Agriculture. There she began as Assistant Secretary, then Deputy Secretary, before she would move to Secretary of Agriculture in December of 2013 through January 2019. She has served as our chapter advisor since returning to the College of Agriculture and has continually developed our students chapter to its highest potential. 


Dr. Emily Lehning

More about Dr. Lehning

After graduating from Kansas State with both her Bachelors and Masters degrees, Dr. Lehning began her career with the university in July 2005. She has been with Kansas State for nearly twelve years and currently serves as the Assistant Vice President of Student Life and Director of New Student Services. Her devotion to the Kansas State Chapter of Blue Key has impacted not only the positions she advises, but the entire chapter, year after year. Dr. Lehning helps guide each member to their personal goals to develop their position and has assisted in the development of nearly every program we currently manage. Dr. Lehning works directly with Nationals and Scholarships, Catalyst, and YouLeads. 


Courtney Hallenbeck

More about Courtney

Courtney, a 2013 K-State Blue Key alumni and graduate in Political Science, currently works as the Assistant Director of Recruitment Programs at Kansas State University. As Quest Freshman Honorary advisor, she works with our Co-Directors of Quest to develop outstanding programming and development opportunities for 30 K-State freshman. Whether it’s attending Blue Key’s weekly meetings, Quest Quorums or assisting in the achievement of the Co-Directors of Quest goals, Courtney’s dedication to Blue Key has been remarkable. 


Dave Hoffman

A proud Kansas State University graduate of 2009, Dave F. Hoffman returned to Manhattan to fulfill the role of recruitment coordinator for the College of Engineering, where he works to expand and mentor the student population of one of K-State’s flagship colleges. Earning two bachelor's degrees from K-State and a master’s degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Hoffman has experience within recruitment, student development, advisement and retention. Hoffman has accumulated time and professional experience in a variety of roles and responsibilities at colleges and universities across the nation, including Binghamton University, Rogers State University and the University of Missouri - Kansas City.
