K-State Color Guard

Visual Impact. Unified Motion. Wildcat Tradition.

The K-State Color Guard brings vibrant visual storytelling and precision performance to the Pride of Wildcat Land. With flag, rifle, and dance routines, the Color Guard enhances the musical and visual experience of K-State Football game days—performing at pre-game, halftime, and select pep rallies and special events throughout the season.

Color Guard members also represent Kansas State University at bowl games and other high-profile events, showcasing their skill, spirit, and dedication alongside one of the nation’s top collegiate marching bands. Their presence on the field adds powerful visual depth to the band’s performances and plays a vital role in energizing the Wildcat fan base.

Membership in the K-State Color Guard is open to students with strong performance ability, teamwork, and commitment. Auditions are held annually, and new and returning members are required to participate in summer camps and preseason rehearsals to prepare for the season.
