Kansas State Bands

Kansas State University Bands

The K-State Bands are student-musician-centered programs that look for potential in all, regardless of experience or background. If you possess desire, talent, and a strong work ethic, you are exactly what we are looking for.

The Concert Ensemble portion of our band program is diverse and eclectic. From the Wind Ensemble, Wind Symphony, Concert Band, University Band, and a variety of ensembles, we offer the best of large and small ensemble music worlds.

The diversity of the students participating in the Concert Ensembles makes for a truly unique experience for both our bands and the students themselves. You DO NOT have to be a music major to participate in ANY of the Concert Ensembles.

The Athletic Bands are the spirit of the Wildcat Nation! We are truly fortunate to have students from EVERY COLLEGE at K-State represented in our athletic bands. Just like the concert bands, you DO NOT have to be a music major to participate!

In regards to the Athletic Bands, we offer: a 350+ piece Marching Band (The “Pride of Wildcat Land”), two basketball Cat Bands, the Volleyball Band, and the “Pub Crawl” Band. All of these Athletic Bands enjoy spreading the “purple spirit” to all Wildcat Fans.

For the Music Educator and their students, we offer a variety of educational events throughout the year: Concert Band Clinic, Central States Marching Festival, Future Music Educators Day, and more!

We are very proud of the K-State Band program and encourage you to look further into our web page by clicking the links that interest you. No matter what your interests are, we have an ensemble for you to continue making music and making friends.
