Introduction to Records Management: Records Management 101
This course covers the basic information needed for records creators and designees. The course walks attendees through why records management is important, the university retention schedule, legal requirements, and paper and electronic records. It concludes with an in-depth discussion on how to identify records and the process of updating the university retention schedule.
Registration
To register for a session, sign up through HRIS self-service or email learning-develop-hr@k-state.edu. When sending an email, please include your name, employee ID and the course title (e.g., Records Management 101). Attendees will receive credit in HRIS.

Micro-training
Additional micro-training sessions are available upon request. Topics can include:
- Generative AI best practices with records and data.
- Electronic records management.
- Shared drive file management.
