Call Hall Dairy Bar Updates
May 15, 2025
The Call Hall Dairy Bar temporarily closed its previous location in Call Hall on Saturday, May 17, 2025 and will reopen in the new Global Center for Grain and Food Innovation. Renderings of the new dairy bar are shown below. The closure will allow for renovation of Call Hall with a new, larger dairy processing plant in the existing space of the dairy bar and a new dairy bar location moved to the new Global Center. There will also be a marketplace next to the dairy bar location to allow for an expanded list of College of Agriculture items to purchase, along with the items previously sold at the dairy bar. The new dairy bar is planning to open with the new Global Center in the fall of 2026.
The milk produced at the KSU Dairy Unit is sold and processed through Dairy Farmers of America (DFA). A small portion of that milk, about 5%, is then repurchased by K-State's Call Hall Dairy Bar to be sold as milk, cheese, or ice cream. With the temporary closure of the dairy bar and processing plant, K-State's previous portion of the milk ordered will be sent to other DFA processing plants in the surrounding region.
