MHK Pathway Program Conditions
Students take and complete a minimum of 3 credit hours at K-State and 9 transferrable hours at Manhattan Tech each semester to remain in the program. To be admitted to K-State for the second year as a degree-seeking student, MHK Pathway students are required to earn a minimum of 24 cumulative college credit hours and a 2.0 grade point average.
Academic Honor: For academic-related conduct concerns and grievance procedures (honor and integrity, grade challenges, etc.), the Program student may avail themselves of and are subject to the processes and policies at the institution affected by the conduct in question. For example, if a MHK Pathway student is accused of an honor and integrity violation related to schoolwork in a course at Manhattan Tech, Manhattan Tech’s policies and procedures will apply, and Manhattan Tech’s appropriate personnel will handle the honor and integrity process. Likewise, K-State’s policies and procedures will apply for any honor and integrity violations alleged to have occurred in a K-State class. K-State and Manhattan Tech work together to address any unique situations that may arise where there is an overlap of issues that relate to both institutions. MHK Pathway students shall be required to sign an agreement as part of the MHK Pathway Commitment Form that reflects this arrangement and allows for sharing of information between the institutions with regard to Program students’ academic integrity.
Codes of Conduct: Program students are subject to the Code of Conduct for each institution, as well as other conduct-related policies, in accordance with the definitions, jurisdiction, and the like set out therein. MHK Pathway students found in violation of either Code of Conduct may receive sanctions from each institution as applied to the enrollment at and access to each respective institution. (Manhattan Tech may adopt the investigation and findings of K-State in deciding to implement sanctions relevant to Manhattan Tech, and vice versa.) MHK Pathway students shall be required to sign an agreement as part of the MHK Pathway Commitment Form as a condition of enrollment in the Program that reflects this arrangement, acknowledges that they are subject to both institutions’ conduct policies, and allows for sharing of information between the institutions with regard to Program students’ conduct at either institution.
The participation in the MHK Pathway Program requires K-State and Manhattan Tech to share relevant application, academic, administrative, and enrollment information to support progress and ensure successful program completion. Students completing the MHK Pathway Commitment Form grant permission for both institutions to exchange this information as necessary. Students may opt-out of this program at any time by alerting the K-State Admission's Office.
