Future student scholarships and awards

Follow the simple steps below to maximize your scholarship potential at K-State.

Scholarships Just for Being Admitted to K-State

When you apply for admission to K-State, you're automatically considered for scholarships, no extra forms or essays needed. Here’s what you need to get started:

  1. Apply by the Priority Application Date: To be considered for scholarships, you must apply for admission by this date.
  2. Provide Your Most Recent GPA: Your unweighted or weighted GPA is required for your scholarship review. Submit it as part of your admission application or send us an official copy of your most recent transcript.
  3. Test Scores: If you’ve taken the ACT/SAT, we recommend providing those scores, so that we can evaluate you for maximum scholarships.

General University Scholarships and Awards are only available to students enrolling in programs on our physical campuses. You must apply separately for online scholarships.

Want to Be Considered for a Scholarship Upgrade?

Make sure we have your updated info by April 1!

If you're a U.S. high school senior planning to start at K-State in the Fall, you may be able to increase your scholarship offer. To be considered for a scholarship upgrade, we need your most up-to-date academic information by April 1 of your senior year.

To be considered for a higher-level scholarship, please provide:

  • Your updated high school transcript, showing grades through the first semester of your senior year.
  • Your official ACT or SAT scores (we’ll use your best score, so send it if you've improved!)

Submit competitive scholarship/awards applications (incoming domestic freshmen only)

Incoming domestic freshmen at the Manhattan and Salina campuses may also consider applying for competitive scholarships and awards. Supplemental applications are due Dec. 15.

Apply for college/departmental awards through the K-State Scholarship Network, or KSN

Once you are admitted to the university, you'll also want to create and submit a profile in the K-State Scholarship Network (KSN) system. KSN is a platform for you to share more details about yourself, your academic interests, and your involvement, which then matches you to additional scholarship opportunities. Students attending all K-State campuses are invited to apply for scholarships through KSN.

  • Incoming domestic freshmen: Apply by February 1
  • Incoming transfer students and all international students: Apply by March 15
