The K-State difference

K-State's accounting department was one of only 10 programs in the nation to receive a prestigious grant from the Accounting Education Change Commission, or AECC. This nearly $250,000 grant was used to support a comprehensive revision in our curriculum, making K-State a model for accounting education throughout the U.S.

The undergraduate and graduate accounting programs received separate accreditation for accounting by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, or AACSB, in April1988. Few schools receive this recognition.

As part of the College of Business Administration, accounting students also have the exclusive opportunity to participate in Career Development, the college’s professional development program. It’s three components – Career Accelerator, Career Coach and Executive Mentor – provide unmatched training and support.
