Dr. Susan Ariola Bosco Putting Students First
Faculty Award
Purpose and Eligibility
The Dr. Susan Ariola Bosco Putting Students First Award, presented by the Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs, recognizes one full-time faculty member who has had a major impact on student success at Kansas State University.
The award is given to a faculty member who is currently employed at Kansas State University and has served in a faculty or instructor position for a minimum of one (1) year of instruction at the University.

Criteria for Nomination
The nominee must demonstrate:
- A commitment to student success, as demonstrated through on- and off-campus service and engaging co-curricular practices.
- A dedication to the well-being of students demonstrated through service above and beyond required University responsibilities.
Nomination Procedure
The nomination procedure will include:
- All current K-State faculty, staff and students are welcome to nominate a deserving faculty member for this award by submitting the nomination via link provided below.
- A selection committee of members from the Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs and the Bosco Family will review the submitted nominations.
Nominations should be completed by:
- Submission of nomination via: Putting Students First Award Faculty Qualtrics form.
- Nomination deadline is Monday, March 23, 2026 by 11:59 pm.
Nominators will be asked to provide the following information during the nomination process:
- Nominee's Information (Name, position, unit and email)
- Nominator's Information (Name, position and email)
- Examples of how the nominee demonstrates a committment to student success through on and off campus service and engaging co-curricular practices (1500 character limit).
- Examples of how the nominee demonstrates a dedication to the well-being of students through service above and beyond required University responsibilities (1500 character limit).
- A nomination letter of support, copied and pasted into the Qualtrics form. (3000 character limit).
PLEASE NOTE: No self-nominations will be accepted; previous recipients will not be considered.
