Getting Started

The Student Success Collaborative – Navigate platform gives academic advisors and other end users unprecedented access to student contact information. Through the platform, University representatives are able to email and text students with ease. This access must be guided by principles of best practice that put our students’ experience first. Before getting started please review the Navigate Rules of Engagement (PDF).

Request access to Navigate

Ready to get access? Full Navigate access requires the KSIS advisor role and completion of the KSIS Security Access Form which can be found on the Security Administration Getting Started website. The former assures compliance with FERPA, while the latter provides documentation of user access. If you are not already approved for the KSIS advisor role, then follow the guidance provided.

Gaining access to Navigate is easy:

Option 1: If you don't already have KSIS access, submit the security form (pdf) and request Navigate access simultaneously.

Option 2: If you already have KSIS access and have previously completed the KSIS Security Form, request access to Navigate by filling out the Service Portal form. Click "Request Service", change the name of the requestor to match the person needing access, select "I need access to a K-State system", then select SSC.

Don't forget: Check out our Resource Library to find user guides and videos!
