#19 Provide a reminder of the rule
Basic, ages 2-18
When children know but forget a rule, restate it as a positive reminder. Explain the consequences of ignoring the limit. This reminder should be given no more than once. Stronger action may be necessary for children who repeatedly "forget" a rule.

Examples:
Jason (6 years), The rule is walk inside the house. If you run, you have to sit for a while.
Helen (17 years), The rule is to check with us before taking the car. If you take it without permission then you lose car privileges for a month.
