Children know when we feel angry
You cannot hide how you feel from your children. Children are very sensitive to our moods even though they may not be able to name the emotions or understand their causes.

For example, when Mary comes home angry because of an unreasonable boss, her three-year-old child can sense her tension and anger even though Mary does her best to "put on" a happy face.
