Children may blame themselves for our anger
This is difficult for many of us now as adults. Buried deep in our emotional brain is the belief that we were the cause of our parent's anger. If we are ever going to liberate ourselves from the control of anger, we have to free ourselves from this unreasonable blame.

We were children. Yes, maybe we were difficult to manage. There were occasions when parental anger toward us was justified. Healthy children, though, are bound to cause some friction. That's a part of growing up. Parental rage and chronic anger always shows a point of origin outside of the life of a child.
