Women's Studies Ambassadors

Women's Studies Ambassadors was created to promote community amongst prospective, current, and former students of the K-State Women's Studies Department that will allow for professional networking. For more information contact faculty advisor Gabriela Sabates, gabsab@ksu.edu or 785-532-4248. 


Fire is a feminist organization devoted to igniting progressive social change in our communities, while also creating a space for and centering the voices of those who have been erased, marginalized, or made invisible within these communities. They employ consciousness-raising, education and activism to confront the injustices that affect not only the local communities of Manhattan and the Kansas State campus, but also those who live beyond our local borders. The Alpha Chapter of IOTA IOTA IOTA begain inducting member in 1992. This honor society was founded to maintain the feminist values central to Women’s Studies and encourage diversity, egalitarianism, and a supportive academic environment for all students. In 2008, K-State started the Beta Alpha Chapter of Triota and we are committed to upholding Triota’s ideals.
