Graduate certificate

The Department of Social Transformation Studies offers a graduate certificate in gender, women, and sexuality studies that can be pursued independently or by graduate students enrolled at K-State or another institution.

How to apply

If you are enrolled as a K-State graduate student, contact the social transformation studies department's graduate certificate director at 785-532-5738 or soctran@k-state.edu.

If you would like to apply for the graduate certificate independent of a K-State graduate degree program, complete the graduate school application.

Requirements

Earn a graduate certificate in gender, women, and sexuality studies with 12 credit hours of graduate-level courses.

One (1) required course: GWSS 810 Theories and Methodologies
*This semester-long course is offered annually in the spring semester at K-State's Manhattan campus.

Three (3) electives 600-level or above
*These electives will be gender, women, and sexuality studies courses, with a GWSS course prefix, or approved electives from other departments.
