Canvas access remains operational, with reports of slowness. Thank you for your patience. Honorlock is operational.

Information has been sent to instructors via email about restored integrations, the TEVAL deadline extension, integrations still in progress and gradebook backup options. Another update will be sent on Monday, but in the meantime, questions can be sent to the Teaching and Learning Center at teachingandlearning@k-state.edu.

Access to Canvas has been restored, except for a few integrations. Additional guidance to instructors will be sent this afternoon.
We will continue to monitor performance and evaluate final integrations throughout the weekend.

Information has been sent to students via email about the progress and priorities of restoring Canvas. Students should reach out to their instructors directly with questions about courses, assignments or academic expectations.

Work is taking place to restore access to Canvas in a phased approach. Students and instructors should check their K-State email for detailed information throughout the day.
An additional update will be made by noon today.

Canvas began coming online overnight, and we are evaluating the situation to safely restore full access.

Canvas remains unavailable and is being monitored. Operational continuity plans are actively being developed.
Continue to stay alert for messages seeking login credentials, personal information, containing links or attachments or unsolicited emails that appear to come from Canvas or the university. If you receive an unsolicited DUO authentication message, contact the IT Service Desk immediately at 785-532-7722.
Zoom, Microsoft 365 and Navigate are operational.
Instructors, the Office of the Provost has sent emails with instructions on how to contact students through KSIS.
Students with questions about a course should contact their instructors.

Kansas State University was recently informed of a cybersecurity event by Instructure, the parent company of the university's learning management system, Canvas. The event affects approximately 8,800 educational institutions, including K-State.
As of this time, Canvas is not available for use, and other services may be affected. Instructors have received an email from the Office of the Provost on alternative communication methods.
In the meantime, you are the best defense against potential cybersecurity attacks and phishing attempts. Stay alert for messages seeking login credentials, personal information or unsolicited emails that appear to come from Canvas or the university. Report any suspicious emails or messages to abuse@k-state.edu.
