Submitted by Sarah Kalman

Applications for the various scholarships offered by K-State Blue Key will close this Friday, March 1. Apply now

More than $13,000 in scholarships are awarded each year to students across campus. Read the descriptions on the Blue Key website to see any preferences for recipients, such as underrepresented or first-generation students, Carl R. Ice College of Engineering students, graduate students and students planning to study abroad over the next academic year. Students can apply for more than one scholarship, and finalists will interview for one award.

The scholarships include the Bernard Franklin Opportunity Scholarship; the Robert Lewis Sophomore Leadership Award; the Neal Atkinson Junior Leadership Scholarship; the Chester E. Peters Student Development Award; the Roy C. Langford Memorial Scholarship; the Greg Hardin Memorial Scholarship; the Walter Martin Memorial Scholarship; the Blue Key Study Abroad Scholarship; and the Dr. Pat J. Bosco Graduate Student Scholarship.

More information about each of these scholarships and the scholarship application can be found on the Blue Key's Scholarships website.

Applications will close at 11:59 p.m. Friday, March 1. Students will be notified if they are invited to an interview no later than Friday, March 8.
