Join the K-State Office for the Advancement of Women in Science and Engineering, or KAWSE, for a Career Chat.

Career Chats are opportunities for students and staff to hear from current professionals in the field regarding their experiences navigating STEM as a woman or other marginalized identity.

On Thursday, Feb. 22, hear from Ana Julia Paula Carcedo, a postdoctoral researcher at the K-State Ciampitti Lab, from 10-11 a.m. in the Fairchild Hall conference room, Room 215.

RSVP by Thursday, Feb. 15.

Carcedo is an international scholar from Argentina. After finishing her doctorate in agronomic sciences, she joined the K-State family as a postdoctoral researcher at the Ciampitti Lab. She specializes in modeling and crop simulations, with the goal of developing frameworks that impact the farmer's labor. With this in mind, she is passionate about crop ecophysiology and management.

Carcedo will discuss her career path, the intersections of her identities as an international female scholar and tips for networking in a culturally diverse context.

Questions regarding this event may be directed to kawse@k-state.edu, 785-532-6088 or in person at 215 Fairchild Hall.
