Kansas TRHT Campus Center Collaborative

Submitted by Corey Williamson

On Tuesday, Jan. 16, our nation celebrated the eighth annual National Day of Racial Healing founded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.

In celebration of the National Day of Racial Healing, Kansas State University is partnering with Bethel College to facilitate the inaugural Kansas Truth Racial Healing and Transformation, or TRHT, Campus Center Collaborative. The center will facilitate a virtual racial healing circle from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, Feb 23, to build relationships, foster partnerships and cultivate community across identities.

Please join the only two TRHT Campus Centers in the state of Kansas in community engagement by sharing authentic personal narratives resulting in racial healing and community building.

In November 2022, K-State was selected by the American Association of Colleges and Universities to serve as a host campus for a Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation Center. K-State joined 71 higher education institutions in the national program. K-State is the second higher education institution and the first state university in Kansas selected for the program. Bethel College also hosts a Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation Center.

All participants must register prior to the program using the online form or QR code on the flyer.
