K-State 2023 Benefits Fair today

The benefits team invites you to the 2023 Benefits Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, Oct. 4, in the Grand Ballroom at the K-State Student Union. 

The fair is an opportunity to meet with many of your benefits providers and learn more about many aspects of your total rewards package. In addition to the vendors, today's event will also feature several presentations in the connecting K and S ballrooms. These will provide opportunities to meet with and hear from various vendors, and the presentations will include time for Q&A. Prior registration will not be required.

The schedule of events is:

K Ballroom

  • 10:30 a.m.: State Employee Health Plan will present health benefits available for 2024 and any changes.
  • 11:30 a.m.: State Employee Health Plan will present retiree health benefits available to potential retirees.
  • 1 p.m.: Renae Riedy and Deb Wood, senior health insurance counselors, will present Medicare basics for those who are thinking about retiring and are age 65 or those nearing age 65.

S Ballroom

  • 10 a.m.: "TIAA: Your Mid-Career Retirement Check-In." This presentation is a critical checkpoint for those wanting to make sure they are on track for a healthy retirement. Topics will include: how to understand what you are aiming for, considering your priorities, putting your spending plan together and knowing the different ways to save.
  • 11 a.m.: "VOYA: Setting Retirement Goals If You're Over 40." This presentation will discuss the importance of setting a goal and how to check your progress to stay on track for a healthy retirement.
  • Noon: "KPERS: From Hire to Retire Seminar." This will provide a high-level overview of the KPERS retirement system to fully understand what it means to be a KPERS member.
  • 1 p.m.: "KPERS 457: Benefits of Enrollment in KPERS 457."
