Health Career Meet-Up event today

The Career Center will host a free networking event for students looking to create connections in the health, fitness or wellness fields. The Health Career Meet-Up event is 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Berney Family Welcome Center, through the south door.

Attendees should plan to bring multiple copies of their resume and dress in business casual attire. Before attending the event, students should prepare a 30-second introduction and prepare questions they can ask a potential employer.

Organizations represented include Ascension/Via Christi, Cerner Corporation, Holton Community Hospital, Interim HealthCare, Kansas Recruitment and Retention Center, Mathis Rehab Centers LLC, Meadowlark Hills, Newman Regional Health, Saint Luke's Health System, U.S. Peace Corps and Valley Hope Association, among others.

Several health programs will also be in attendance including Cleveland University, Kansas City; University of Kansas School of Health Professions; University of Kansas Medical Center Department of Health Policy and Management; and Washburn University's School of Applied Studies — Allied Health.
