Leadership Lens: Submit a photo to be displayed in the Leadership Studies Building

By Theo Stavropoulos

As part of the 20th anniversary of leadership studies at K-State, the Staley School of Leadership Studies is inviting all students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the university to submit a photo to enrich the learning environment in the Leadership Studies Building.

When the Leadership Studies Building opened in 2010, it included original artwork and photography from both amateurs and professionals who have a connection to Kansas and K-State, with the thought that these pieces would be refreshed and rotated over time. This year, the photographs will be updated and displayed in the building until the Staley School's 25th anniversary in 2022.

Electronically submit up to five photos to be reviewed by a panel of judges, and up to 25 submissions will be selected for display. Each photographer from whom a work is acquired will receive an honorarium payment of $100 and will retain the copyright for his or her work. All entries must be received by 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15.

A dedication event for the new photographs will take place on Nov. 12, where the current photography will be auctioned in support of the Staley School's 20th Anniversary Engagement Initiative. This event will be the formal ending to the 20th Anniversary Celebration and Reunion Weekend, and all are welcome to attend,
