ADVANCE Distinguished Lecture Series presents Shirley Luckhart

The ADVANCE Distinguished Lecture Series and Berlin Londono, assistant professor of entomology, will host Shirley Luckhart, professor at the University of Idaho and co-director of the Center for Health in the Human Ecosystem, will present "An ancient hormone functions as a transmission-blocking antimalarial against blood and mosquito stage parasites" at noon Monday, Sept. 25, in the Big 12 Room of the K-State Student Union.

Luckhart is an internationally recognized authority on malaria, outstanding educator and mentor. Her major focus on malaria includes innate immunity in the mosquito and mammalian host and interventions to block both disease and transmission.
