Submitted by Communications and Marketing

Morgan Roesler, associate director of communications of the Kansas State University Alumni Association, received a $1,500 Professional Development Scholarship from the National Educational Alumni Trust, also known as NEAT.

Amy Spelman, director of alumni programs at Western Illinois University and chair of the scholarship committee for the national association announced the award.

Roesler was one of 14 winners selected by the scholarship committee. Scholarships enable recipients to attend a professional development conference during the 2011-2012 conference season.

“We are pleased to announce the 2011-12 NEAT scholarship recipients,” Spelman said. “The partnership between NEAT and its member institutions is truly demonstrated by the commitment to reward these talented up-and-coming alumni relations professionals.”

The National Educational Alumni Trust is a not-for-profit organization that provides insurance and financial services to constituents of its 140 member associations. The association's insurance plans and programs are administered and marketed by USI Affinity Collegiate Insurance Resources.
