A.M.P.E.D. is a five-week boot camp program, running April 4-May 5, with fitness and nutrition plans. It includes exercising outside using nontraditional equipment. Anyone interested can sign up in the rec office.

Conducted by rec services personal trainers, this program will amplify your current level of fitness and provide you with a nutrition plan designed to suit your needs. All sessions will take place outside using equipment such as tires, ropes, sledgehammers, sandbags and cinderblocks.

Each boot camp will have two sessions each week (for a total of 10 sessions) plus nutrition analysis and goal setting.

Participants can choose a boot camp on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6 a.m. or Tuesdays & Thursdays at 5:30 p.m.

Program fee for K-State students is $55, for rec members is $80 and for A.M.P.E.D. trial participants is $45.

Participants must be K-State students or rec facility members.

Note: All potential participants must pass a mini fitness test consisting of pushups, situps and a one-mile run prior to signing up. This will be conducted at time of sign-up.

Sign up in the rec office by April 1. For more information, call 785-532-6980.
