ABQRide Bus Service - General Info

All conference participants will have an option to receive a free two-day bus pass when picking up registration materials. This pass can be used on any bus at any time. You can access routes and schedule information using the ABQRide website or its convenient mobile apps.

Express Bus: Downtown-Sunport Nonstop Express #250

ABQ Ride operates a free express bus from the airport to the downtown transit center, which is located just 2 blocks from Hotel Andaluz. This bus has a limited schedule and runs on weekdays only, so you will need to consult the schedule here for details.

At the airport, the #250 bus is located on the lower level at the west end of the shuttle island. It proceeds directly to the downtown transit center, stopping at bus bay “J.” From there, you will exit onto 1st at Central Avenue, walk left (west) one block to 2nd Street, then walk right (north) one block to Hotel Andaluz, which is on the corner of 2nd and Copper.

Non-Express Bus from Airport to Downtown

If you schedule does not match with the limited schedule of the #250 bus, there is also convenient non-express bus service available between the airport and downtown from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  After picking up your luggage, follow the signs for the Route 50 bus, which picks up passengers just outside the terminal twice an hour (on the hour and the half-hour). The bus proceeds to the intersection of 2nd Street and Copper Avenue downtown, the precise location of Hotel Andaluz. The bus costs $1.00 per passenger and you need correct change (the driver accepts bills or coins, but no pennies or charge cards).

If you are staying in another hotel or motel on Central Avenue, you can purchase a $2.00 all-day pass on the Route 50 bus, exit at Central and Yale, and take either the #766 or the #66 west or east on Central, depending on the direction of your lodging. Most of the motels closer to downtown are located to the west (away from the mountains) just past Interstate 25. Buses on Central Avenue pass by every 15 minutes in both directions until 12:30 a.m.
