Tips for Submitting a great application

Scholarship Recipients

If you received the Goss Discovery Scholarship or the Global Education Initiative Scholarship you have to complete 2 service projects for the Study Abroad Office during your time abroad or upon your return to K-State. We encourage you to complete unique Service Projects that highlight your individual background, experiences abroad, talents and skills. You can find some examples of past projects here. This is by no means an exhaustive list and we look forward to continuing to receive unique projects.

In addition, you must help with the Study Abroad Fair in the semester upon your return, for at least 1 hour (if returning to K-State). If you volunteer for 3 or more hours to help with the fair (in preparation or the day of) then that will count as 1 service project. (If you volunteer for less then 3 hours, you will still need to complete 2 other service projects.)

Opportunities to help with the Study Abroad Fair and other Study Abroad Office events will be emailed to you as they become available.

In order to have your projects approved or track your progress/completion, please contact abroad@k-state.edu.
