The Extraordinary Student Award is given to students who have overcome unique obstacles, such as a disability, illness, difficult family issue, or a major life challenge, and have succeeded in their educational pursuits.
Do you know a student who has overcome unique obstacles and has been able to succeed in their educational pursuits? Nominate them for an Extraordinary Student Award!
• Nominees must be juniors, seniors, or graduate students.
• Selected extraordinary students will receive a scholarship and plaque at an awards banquet.
To nominate a student, submit a letter with the following information:
1 - Student’s name, age, major, class standing, other pertinent demographic info.
2 - Student’s situation/condition, etc. that constitutes a major obstacle in the pursuit of university education.
3 - Description of student’s extraordinary efforts in overcoming the obstacle(s) & succeeding in their educational journey.
4 - Specifics about the way(s) in which they have been successful.
5 - Include nominator’s contact information.
