How can I get a replacement diploma?

Fill out the replacement diploma form and deliver it to the Registrar’s Office in person, by mail, or by fax. Replacement diplomas are ordered the first Monday of each month. Payment for replacement diplomas are processed when the order form is received. Normal processing time from the diploma printer once an order has been placed, is usually six to eight weeks.

The cost of a duplicate/replacement diploma and cover is as follows:

  • Undergraduate or graduate diploma: $10.00 each
  • Undergraduate or graduate diploma cover: $5.00 each
  • Veterinary medicine diploma: $15.00 each

Please note that a replacement diploma will not be processed for any student who is delinquent to the university.

When will diplomas for Fall/Spring graduation be mailed?

Approximately six to eight weeks after degrees have posted.

What do I do if I have a hold on my account and will be graduating?

All financial/academic holds must be cleared before a diploma can be mailed. Check your student center in iSIS for hold and departmental contact information, located in the drop down box on the right hand side under “Holds” (How-to). You have 90 days after graduation to clear your holds to receive your diploma at no charge. A fee of $10.00 will be assessed and must be paid prior to the release of a diploma 90 days after graduation.

What are the requirements for graduating with honors?

Bachelor’s degree candidates who have completed a minimum of 60 hours in residence, with at least 50 hours in graded courses, are considered for graduation with scholastic honors as follows:

  • Students with a 3.950 or above K-State academic average are designated as Summa Cum Laude.
  • Students with a 3.850–3.949 K-State academic average are designated as Magna Cum Laude.
  • Students with a 3.750–3.849 K-State academic average are designated as Cum Laude.

Students with a Doctor of veterinary medicine degree candidates are eligible to receive these honors based on courses completed in the professional program.

What forms are required to apply for graduation?

  • Undergraduate and Veterinary Medicine students: The application is available in the iSIS Student Center. (How-to)
  • Graduate students: The application is not available in iSIS. Contact the Graduate School early in the term. See the Graduate School website for specific deadlines for each term.

Can I pre-order graduation photos?

Yes, refer to www.gradimages.com.

Is there a limit to the number of guests at the commencement ceremony?

Ceremonies are open to the public and tickets are not required. However, seating will be limited if a college has a large number of graduates.
