Off-Campus Housing Support

Purpose

As a K-State student, you have access to the free services provided by the office of Off-Campus Housing Support. Off-Campus Housing Support provides information about the rights and responsibilities of tenants and landlords to Kansas State University students. Common issues include maintenance, security deposits, lease reviews, and more. If you have questions about these or other off-campus housing issues, make an appointment to meet with the director.

Flint Hills Housing Survey

OCHS is partnering with the Flint Hills Regional Council to help make your housing experiences and concerns heard by local government officials. We are asking off-campus residents to participate in a short survey on housing and housing practices in the region.

The data collected will be put together with results from focus groups, interviews, existing plans, regulations, and studies to produce a comprehensive perspective of housing opportunities and challenges in the Flint Hills Region. The analysis will be written up into a report that includes recommendations for addressing areas of unequal access to housing opportunities, to be presented to local officials and delivered to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

We believe that by providing your opinions, you can help improve the implementation of fair housing policy, and the expansion of housing opportunities for everyone across the Flint Hills Region.
