Monday, March 21, 2016

MANHATTAN — Kansas State University's Office of Undergraduate Research & Creative Inquiry has selected eight students for summer research and travel grants.

"Undergraduate research and its associated travel offer challenging but interesting summer plans for K-State students," said Anita Cortez, director of the Office of Undergraduate Research & Creative Inquiry, or OURCI.

"More and more students see the benefits of experiential learning and faculty enjoy interacting with curious, engaged learners," Cortez said. "This summer five students will pursue their research interests through OURCI grants, and three more have received travel grants pertaining to their research. They have the opportunity to network with other researchers and make contributions to their research field. Awardees are expected to present, perform or exhibit their work publicly."
