Friends of K-State Libraries to present 'Jazz in June: The Colors of Jazz' on June 12

MANHATTAN — The Friends of the K-State Libraries will present "Jazz in June: The Colors of Jazz," featuring the Kansas State University Faculty Jazztet, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 12, in Hale Library's Hemisphere Room.

Guests will enjoy an evening of jazz, delicious snacks, wine and beer.

The Jazztet includes music program faculty members Kurt Gartner, professor, drums; Wayne Goins, university distinguished professor, guitar; Paul Hunt, professor, trombone; and Gordon Lewis, adjunct faculty, bass. They will be joined by Craig Treinen, saxophone; and Beau Jarvis, jazz piano.

Seating is limited and should be reserved by June 9. Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for students. They can be purchased online at http://www.found.ksu.edu/rsvp/concertseries. For more information, call Darchelle Martin at 785-532-7442.
