MANHATTAN — Broadway smashes "STOMP" and "Legally Blonde — The Musical," legendary singers Emmylou Harris, Diana Krall, Wynonna and Judy Collins, and up-and-comers like comedian Trevor Noah and the electrifying music and dance experience "iLuminate" highlight the 2018-2019 McCain Performance Series at Kansas State University.

The season also will offer music greats Chick Corea, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Lee Rocker of The Stray Cats, The Manhattan Transfer and Take Six together, a cappella masters Chanticleer and more. From the stage, enjoy Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic "The King and I," Shakespeare's "King Lear" and Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein." Laughs are plenty this upcoming season, too, with "Monty Python's Spamalot," the seven Harry Potter novels in "Potted Potter" and the latest in the Church Basement Ladies' series, "Rise Up O Men." See Anne Frank's diary interpreted through dance, and enjoy a range of musical styles with Black Violin, flute master Sir James Galway, The Hot Sardines, Béla Fleck & Abigail Washburn, Irish-American band Switchback, the sultry songstress Storm Large and the Dalí Quartet with a Cliburn gold medalist. Capping off the season will be a tribute to Broadway, as performed by some of its most noted stars, in "Neil Berg's 101 Years of Broadway."

Season tickets will go on sale Monday, June 18, with discounts available for those who subscribe to seven or more events. Single tickets will be available starting Sunday, July 29. To get priority seating, join the Friends of McCain with a season ticket order of seven or more events by Friday, July 6. Friends of McCain members receive other exclusive privileges, including invitations to meet the artists, free parking and access to the Director's Lounge before shows and at intermission. Benefits vary by donation level.

Tickets can be purchased at the McCain Auditorium box office or by calling 785-532-6428. Download a season brochure at k-state.edu/mccain. For most shows, tickets are half-price for youth 18 and under and for K-State students with their student ID. Discounts for military, groups, and K-State faculty and staff also are available.
