Coming to McCain: Former Barenaked Ladies singer Steven Page joins Art of Time Ensemble in a night of Beatles hits

Friday, Oct. 14, 2016

MANHATTAN — Enjoy the Beatles' classic album, "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," as never before when distinguished singers Steven Page, Wesley Stace, Andy Maize and Craig Northey join orchestra members of the Art of Time Ensemble to create a night of music at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at Kansas State University's McCain Auditorium.

Page is the founder and former lead singer of the iconic Barenaked Ladies, and Stace has released more than 16 albums under his stage name, John Wesley Harding. Paige and Stace, along with Northey, a member of The Odds, and Maize, a member of the Skydiggers, will join the Art of Time Ensemble, a world-class orchestra, in providing an evening of music from the well-known Beatles' album.

The show will include the hits "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds," "With a Little Help From My Friends" and more. The songs will be reimagined in arrangements that celebrate the music while preserving the vocal harmonies and musical elements.

Tickets are available at the McCain Auditorium box office, by calling 785-532-6428, or online at k-state.edu/mccain.
